Vanilla Sponge Cake

  1. 1½ cups of flour
  2. 125g of butter
  3. 1 Cup of sugar
  4. 1½ teaspoons of baking powder
  5. 3 Eggs
  6. 3/4 cup of milk
  7. 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence


  1. Cream butter and add sugar until light and fluffy
  2. Add eggs one at a time and mix
  3. Add the vanilla essence, and mix well using an electric mixer
  4. Add flour and baking powder then mix well
  5. Bake at 180℃ for 20-25 minutes
  6. Dust with icing sugar once baked and cooled down
